Kate Murphy

"Kate’s love for music, dance, and community will be a voice, and will be remembered, cherished, and honoured into the future of AlgomaTrad."

Founder of the Mulligan Dancers, part of several bands, including Murphy’s Law and the Dawnbreakers, and loyal friend to all. This fund is to encourage young people with an interest in the traditions that Kate particularly loved, by sending them to AlgomaTrad's family camp where they can work with some of the best teacher/performers in the country for a magical week.

Anyone interested in this bursary should write a short paragraph or record a short phone video about their music/dance background and interests. The committee, made up of Kate’s friends and family, will announce decisions in late April, 2022.

Please click on the DONATE TO FUND button, complete the form to ensure your donation is directed toward the Kate Murphy Bursary Fund and to receive your charitable tax receipt, then etransfer your donation to music@algomatrad.ca.
