AlgomaTrad Camp Week

August 8-14th, 2022

The 19th Annual Algoma Traditional Music and Heritage Arts Family Camp 2022 (AlgomaTrad 2022) will be open for registration soon for a LIVE AND IN-PERSON experience!

The camp runs from Monday evening, August 08 to Sunday, August 14. Register soon or read on for more information about the Camp or about events open to the Public.

The Camp will operate under guidelines from Algoma Public Health. Read more about these and about the Camp, location, and fees on the About Camp page.

A WIDE VARIETY OF CLASSES will be held during four periods each day, PLUS daily elective options will be offered. Until our schedule is ready, here are 2021 classes that were offered: fiddle, piano, tin whistle, guitar, bass, clawhammer banjo, Uilleann pipes, highland pipes, ukulele, singing, Ottawa Valley step dance, printmaking, fibre arts, community arts, blacksmithing, song and tune writing, children’s programming and more!

EVENING offerings include open-air concerts, a variety night, jam sessions, and other community gatherings, with potential for who-knows-what unplanned events to happen!

The Annual AlgomaTrad Staff Concert Extravaganza will occur on TBD at the Centennial Grounds in Richards Landing. Tickets will be available website soon.

The ONLINE AUCTION FUNDRAISER is open to campers and the general public during camp week and will again be offering exciting items to enhance your AlgomaTrad experience! The auction raises funds for the Nicholas Missere Bursary Fund and helps offset the cost of camp — it’s fun and your bidding has a very real and lasting impact. To view the auction items and see what campers and staff have contributed, you must register, but it’s free, easy, and there’s no obligation to bid. Further details about auction items and how to register will be posted before camp starts. Have an auction offering? Let us know as soon as possible by emailing
